Our belief

We subscribe to the Westminster Confession of Faith as our foundational creed but have summarized our most fundamental beliefs for you here. 

1. That, the Bible, consisting exclusively of 66 books (from Genesis to Revelation), is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, complete as special revelation, and inerrant in its original text; and

2. That, God of the Bible is a Triune God, existing as three persons in one, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, of one substance, power and eternity, and is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient; and

3. That, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth in six days, and though God created man without sin, man sinned by breaking God's covenant with man and fell from his original righteousness and communion with God, leaving all mankind in sin, condemnation, death and separation from God, and completely incapable of restoring the relationship with God on their own; and

4. That, God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to the world in the human flesh, who was without sin, died on the cross to become the propitiation and sacrifice to take on the sins of many and rose again on the third day in victory over death to redeem God's elect; and

5. That, whosoever believes in and calls upon the name of the Son, Jesus Christ, shall have eternal life; and

6. That, God, by His foreknowledge, predestined His elect, and calls, justifies, adopts, sanctifies and glorifies them, sovereignly and providentially,  so that they may become His children and conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, all in accordance with His plan and time; and

7. That, man is justified by faith alone, which is given by God's grace and is a free-gift of God, wholly apart from works, although those who have faith shall live to bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit to prove their faith; and

8. That, the Son, Jesus Christ, who resurrected and ascended into heaven and sits on the right hand of the Father, shall return someday in glory to judge the world and to usher in the eternal Kingdom, whereby the redeemed, who shall be preserved by the power and works of the Holy Spirit, shall inherit the eternal Kingdom with the Son, Jesus Christ, and the unredeemed shall be thrown into eternal and conscious suffering and torment of hell; and

9. That, the true church, whose head is Jesus Christ, and the gospel of Jesus Christ are the only hope for the fallen world; and

10. That, the church of Christ is under a direct command known as the Great Commission, whereby His church is go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey what the Son, Jesus Christ, has taught His church; and

11. That, the church of Christ must preach the whole council of the Word of God and remain faithful thereto until the Son, Jesus Christ returns; and

12. That, the marriage instituted by God whereby  a holy matrimony must be between one man (male) and one woman (female) and that Christ Life Church only recognizes such a marriage.
